It’s super savoury and moreish, crispy on the edges, tender in the middle, and a true celebration of one of my favourite ingredients: the humble onion!🧅 Onions are often seen as a supporting role, but here they’re giving ⚡️main character energy!⚡️ In fact, I bet you’re going to think I made a mistake when writing the recipe because there are just so many of them - but trust me (and the process), and you’ll end up with an allium-rich, grain-free flatbread for topping or enjoying all on its own😁🥂This is the perfect appetizer for your holiday get-togethers, served with a chilled glass of something sparkling, or sliced into larger pieces and used as sandwich bread, either open-faced or closed. 👋Hello friends,It’s been a big week and I know that many of us are tired, run down, fighting colds, tending broken hearts, and feeling uncertain about the future. I don’t have any answers but I do know that nourishing ourselves, our families and friends must come first. Stick to the small and attainable, because everything ripples out from there🌀This breakfast has been a game-changer for me, not just this week but the past few months as soon as I got serious about flipping the day around to enjoy my largest meal at breakfast to properly fuel me. This one delivers 52g of protein, fibre, and minerals. It’s easy, fast, inexpensive, and veg-friendly. I’m over the moon about it!😄Starting the day with protein boosts dopamine production, which is essential for motivation, focus, and productivity. That doesn’t mean avoiding carbohydrates (in fact we need them in balance to support hormone health - see all those veggies and the big ol’ hunk of sourdough?), but it does mean that we include them with other macronutrients to keep our blood sugar stable, avoiding brain fog and the carb-crash cycle that challenges so many of us🎢If you’d like the recipe, it’s up on my membership site, Grow (only $5 a month my friends!). 🍃Crispy Sage Chips😋During our @goldencircleretreats in Tuscany, our fantastic chef @stefania_deleo_cibo_ancestrale brought these to our table at lunch one day, and we were all shocked at just how delicious they were! Super crisp, crazy-savoury, with a more mellow sage flavour than expected, and not bitter at all. We gobbled them up! And she shared a loose recipe, which couldn’t be simpler👏These crisps are gluten-free, vegan, and such a celebratory way of using this fabulous fall herb, letting it shine in all its glory.
